Just inside the Tsaparang entrance is the Chapel of the Prefect, a small building that was a private shrine for Tsaparang's prefect (regent). Inside the bare room of four columns are murals dating from the late 16C, originally blackened by fire and smoke, but now a little clearer after being cleaned.
